A computer scientist by education, Julio Arrieta is a brand strategist by trade and a man with a passion for upcoming trends and groundswell consumer behavior. Julio sees to it that our clients reap the benefits of the Lopez Negrete team’s big-picture mind and its deep insights into the U.S. Hispanic space. Julio has spent 20 years building successful brands in a variety of areas, including technology, financial services, automotive, retail, consumer packaged goods, media, entertainment and professional services, with current clients including Verizon FiOS, Verizon Wireless, Samsung and Bank of America. Some of the many household names that have benefited from his experience are Microsoft, Coca-Cola, HP, Mazda, Land Rover, VISA, and Chevron. Previously as chief marketing officer at Blue Casa Communications, Julio developed the strategic framework to retool the business for a telecommunications company. He’s also led multicultural programs at Momentum/McCann, Y&R/The Bravo Group, and Bates Worldwide, which provides him with a perspective on how global holding companies have approached these efforts for major clients. Julio’s nonprofit experience includes serving as board member of the San Francisco Bay Area Interactive Industry Group, vice-chair of The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Technology Council, executive vice-president of the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce in Miami, and board member of the Jackson Memorial Foundation Metropolitans. He is currently a strategic advisor to Team Gini, a group whose mission is guiding teenagers living in underprivileged areas of Houston to find a constructive and inspiring purpose in life.
