Borja Perez is Senior Vice President of Digital and Social Media for Telemundo. In this role, Perez is responsible for the evolution of the digital programming team from a website portal-focus into a content creation unit for multiple digital platforms. Building off the success of the 2011 launch of Social@Telemundo, a new strategic social media unit focused on delivering fans across Facebook and Twitter interactive experiences tied to TV programming, Perez looks for new ways to blend social activity into Telemundo’s television programming across all genres, including novelas, news, sports and reality. Additionally, Perez is responsible for expanding the existing collaboration with Telemundo Studios to increase transmedia storytelling for the network’s original primetime productions.

In 2012, Perez was recognized by Multichannel News as one of the “Top 10 Social Media Mavens.” That same year, he oversaw the launch of “Secreteando,” Telemundo’s first-ever “social media novela” offering fans an unprecedented opportunity to become active participants on the storyline through YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+ and Instagram. “Secreteando” proved a great success and won three 2013 Latin Social TV Awards in the categories of “Best Drama or Novela Category,” “Best Check-in Loyalty Program” and “Best Social or Marketing Program
