Director of Social Media Strategy an Innovation

After working in print, television and online media, I have a solid understanding of new media’s role in journalism and multiplatform content production. 

My career began at the same time as the digital revolution in television news. Because of the unique timing, I have played an integral part of launching two local news websites, one network news site and a national television news program. These experiences have taught me how to collaborate well with others in high-pressure situations. 

Throughout the years my motto has always been the same: I fight for the user. While this is a reference to the 1980’s movie “Tron,” it also underlies my strategy for social media. By focusing on creating the best user experience, looking for unique ways to integrate them into our content and by listening and engaging, we can drive the bottom line. This strategy worked while developing campaigns for a national network, driving traffic referrals to websites from social media and growing social media accounts. 

I live and breathe social media. That’s why the call me “WebAnna.” I also have two dogs and the second floor of my house is an art studio.
