This panel will present an overview of what Google is doing specifically for the US Hispanic market. It will have a focus on online video with YouTube as their distribution platform and Google+ as their social media outlet. The session will include some helpful information on how YouTube is driving online content, with a practical case study from one of Google's Premium Partners to see how all this concepts work in reality.
IN THIS SESSION YOU WILL LEARN:
Are U.S. Hispanic journalists optimistic about their careers amid a fast-changing media landscape and the social media revolution? How are they adapting to new technologies and to a growing Latino audience? And do they believe they receive the same level of respect as their non-Latino counterparts?
In this session, these questions and more will be answered as California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), Hispanicize Wire, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) and Florida International University (FIU) unveil the results of their joint 2nd Annual State of Hispanic Journalists Survey.
The news coverage of the police shootings in Ferguson and Staten Island often inflamed already volatile situations across communities in the U.S.

These are just some of the questions that a new anonymous national survey of Latina professional bloggers will uncover in this session. The 2015 Latina Blogging Industry Survey conducted by the Latina Mom Bloggers digital influencer network and iBlog magazine in partnership with BodenPR builds on a first survey that was released last year.
The national online survey will uncover the continuing evolution of Latina bloggers’ beliefs about their careers and their use of social media and technology. The survey will also address what best in class processes brands should follow when engaging with and building relationships with Latina bloggers.
The digital platform has made it possible for many journalists to leave the news industry and pursue new collaborative or individual ventures.
